Old Dominion University has joint agreements with all VCCS institutions that, in accordance with the state transfer policy, consider the requirements of the lower department of general education to be met in all bachelor`s programs for students who obtain a certified associate in the arts, a partner in science or an arts and science degree at a Virginia community college or Richard Bland College. Some programmes require specific general education courses to meet the requirements of departments and/or higher education institutions that are not automatically met by the articulation agreement. Students must acquire a C (2.0) or better in specific general education courses to obtain credit for specific requirements for general education. In order to have accepted and registered all courses approved by Old Dominion University, provided that the student received C grades (2.0) or better, as indicated in the articulated agreement. Admission to Old Dominion University with junior status, as provided for in each specific articulation agreement. It also implies that it is considered to be compliance with the general education requirements of the lower classes (see below, 3.b) of Old Dominion University, with the exception of those specifically required for a main subject given by a school and/or department. Old Dominion University accepts full recognition for the degree (n) identified in selected articulated programs, including curriculum credits (professional/technical), provided the following conditions are met: The Bachelor of Arts and the International Business Major in the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Grade require the intermediate degree (201-202) of a foreign language, including with the graduated associate. To complete all bachelor`s programs, you need at least 120 hours of credits (see specific diplomas for the specific minimum credit hours required, some of which may ask for more). Students who move from a Virginia community college or Richard Bland College to the ODU without an associate degree must have all credits assessed by the Virginia Community College Admissions Office and Richard Bland College.

To facilitate the transfer of students, the following provisions have been defined: the third (junior) level of a spoken foreign language has been completed in high school (the transcript of the high school must be submitted to the Admissions Office for examination in order to supplement the remaining credits at Dominion Old University as part of the internship required by the university. The second level (Sophomore) of two different foreign languages was completed in high school. Old Dominion University and the Virginia Community College System (CSV) have a guaranteed admissions agreement that will allow qualified VCCS students to make an endless transfer to Old Dominion. Students who do not graduate may also waive the requirements of general foreign language education if: the ODU`s general education program consists of requirements that all students must follow. The number of hours of credit required to meet these requirements may vary depending on the academic discipline chosen by the student.
