The 3-year warranty, the limited recon warranty and the lifetime service contract apply only to the original buyer and cannot be transferred. These programs only cover the wear or failure of the tool that occurs during normal use and regular maintenance. They do not cover malfunctions, breakdowns or defects caused by abuse, abuse, negligence, modification, modification or repair by others other than an authorized service centre for ridgid® manual, pneumatic and fixed power tools. Damage or malfunctions inflicted on the tool by the user or other external sources, or failure to comply with warnings and instructions contained in the user manual are not covered. These are the stories that I think Ridgid thinks are few. Most chords are written in such a way that they are almost unworkable. They raise exuberant claims about protection from abuse, etc. The use of tools could be called abuse, because now they are tools, they are beaten by design. These long guidelines are therefore not written to protect the consumer, but to make it as simple as possible for the company, not to say excuses, it is not justified under the ASA or any other name that they can give to their warranty. But on paper, an LSA sounds really hot and fuzzy and will attract people. It`s like insurance, it`s great if you have it, but once you really need to exercise it, you`ll learn how much of a pain in it really is. I like RIDGID tools worth it, I`ve never had any bad problems about the tools and the LSA (lifetime service contract)., Sometimes when I replace any battery or take the tool into the shop to fix it, they immediately fix it without a problem. But note other brands like: THE WALT, MAKITA, RYOBI…
ETC, because if you go into the consignment store, you will always see these kinds of brands, why….? Because people make pledges. Because they waste a lot of money to buy batteries, and they are very pushy. If you buy electrical or battery tools make sure you read the reviews on a particular tool then you can buy it with the confidence that you have a very good tool, always check the tools, compare s price issues, because prices vary in diferent stores. And going for RIDGID personally is the best tool and the second tool is Milwaukee, but you have to spend your own yuour money to buy batteries. Thank you very much. jp The lifetime service contract is available free of charge to all licensed RIDGIDs® brand of hand-held power tools, fixed power tools and pneumatic tools, subject to the following conditions. Customers have 90 days from the date of purchase to register tools for the lifetime service contract. Once all the conditions of the registration process are met, the tool`s service coverage lasts the life of the original buyer.
